Here's something I just don't get it. Consider this bit about virtual gifts on Facebook:
"To date, users have exchanged more than 20 million virtual gifts, paying up to $1 for each, making them one of the site's most successful revenue streams."
My mind just boggles. People have apparently spent $20 million in real money to electronically send people little drawings of things. Why? What's the point? I don't get it. If you're a friend of mine, please don't waste money sending me drawings of balloons, brownies, or bunnies. Just send me an email with the words "Here are some brownies!" They'll taste just as good as the drawing would have and you'll save some money.
